Construction is in full swing in the
Samudāya Learning Garden Center
at Kevin Rohan Memorial Eco Foundation (KRMEF)!
front porch's collaborative efforts with the KRMEF community have produced this master plan of the demonstration garden. The garden serves as an educational entrance and classroom for KRMEF’s Waldorf-inspired Ankuran School.
We are happy to report that infrastructure construction is gaining momentum at the Center! Along with foundational work on the demonstration garden, the upper garden terraces are progressing nicely:
Upper gardens' essential irrigation system is in place and performing well: A main line running from the 10,000L cistern with hose access at each terrace integrates ease and efficiency to the watering schedule.
Grading and layout of the demonstration garden plot is well underway.
Projections for building the structures of the demonstration garden moves forward as the bamboo poles for the tool shed and seedling nursery are set into their proper locations.
Plans for the solar array are finally moving forward as our in-country provider has confirmed their contribution of the 1kW array for the washing station's water pump. This is fantastic news and will serve as a model for alternative energy sourcing in community gardening.
